A guided trip often means exploring the river on one of our powerful guide boats. We find our customers enjoy this active form of fishing and find it far more exciting than just sitting with a row of anglers on the bank. Also it delivers the goods, because if one spot isn't productive, we keep working for you until we find one that is. Our guests visit from all over Europe to enjoy the area´s fantastic catfish and carp fishing and many of them return every season. The camp is run by our highly experienced and knowledgeable team of angling guides (all English speaking), who will help make your fishing trip run smoothly. You will find all of our staff passionate about fishing and willing to provide tuition and advice if required for all species of fish.

The Ebro´s fantastic catfish and carp fishing attracts our guests from all over Europe, and many of them return every season. We pride ourselves on the quality and range of accomodation that we can offer our guests. This ranges from the famous fishing camp, the first of its kind in Mequinenza, to beautiful air conditioned apartments in Mequinenza and Caspe. Our range of accomodation is truly second to none in the area. We make no apologies when we say our accomodation is the best in the Ebro region!

Every catfish or carp angler who books a trip with the Bavarian Guiding Service can have their Spanish fishing licences ready and waiting for them on arrival. Simply order them when you book your stay. Although you may prefer to use your own equipment, we have available on site the finest Fox and Shimano equipment. We now have the most extensive range of specialist tackle in the region for carp, catfish and zander at our new tackle shop conveniently situated in Mequinenza.

The results for catfish during 2009 have been going to strength to strength on the Ebro. Pellet fishing is stiill the prefered choice for most anglers, and the average sizes are increasing annually. More and more fish are coming out over the hundred and fifty pound mark, and our guides have helped our customers catch fish of up to 224lbs! Often these huge fish are caught within a few hundred metres of our camp which is right on the bank of the river. If you are really lucky, you have a chance to catch one of the beautiful and rare albino catfish that swim in this part of the river.

Carp fishing in the area is no longer a secret. The Ebro is now known as Europe´s most prolific winter carp fishery, with twenties and thirties commonplace. Forties are now featuring regularly and with the increased use of the pellet, fifties are occasionally coming out. To date, the record fish landed in the area has been 68lb 2oz. The guides at the camp are happy to prebait swims on your behalf, and we can of course provide quality affordable particles and boilies when you arrive. In addition we will provide you with a boat to bait up your swim for carp.

The zander fishing is also benefiting from larger numbers of fish in recent years. Lure or Drakovitch fishing can offer an interesting departure during the cooler months. Ebro zander fight well, and require high levels of angler skill and concentration. It is not uncommon when zander fishing to hook a catfish. Landing catfish on zander tackle is one of the greatest angling challenges on the Ebro today!
