Bavarian Guiding Service was founded by Jürgen Stegherr and Peter Ölschläger in 1988. Both Peter and Jürgen have been passionate anglers since they were children and grew up catching catfish and carp from large European waters. They still spend their holidays fishing here in Spain and throughout the whole world for species such as Salmon, Sturgeon and Marlin.

Why we're different from the rest

Apart from being the first guiding service on the Ebro, we have the largest infrastructure of staff and accomodation in the region by a good margin. We can offer our guests a wide range of accomodation and fishing options from accomodation only, right through to full board.

Catching is our first priority

The heart of our operation has always been focussed on guiding. Our years of experience in Spain enables us to offer guiding services that are second to none. A guided safari with us often means a trip on one of our powerful guide boats to swims known intimately by our guides. We don't believe that a trip with our guides means sitting in a huge row amongst other anglers.

We will tailor the level of guiding to suit the needs and experience of the individual. We can take care of everything such as appropriate tackle and equipment and the all important fish location. We will also ensure that you are using the correct methods and tactics, at the right times, to maximise your chances of success.
